In the surrounding Vinalopó Mitjà valley, almond fields form an essential part of the landscape and daily life. These fields are not only a source of income, but also define the visual beauty of the region, especially in early spring.

The region enjoys more than 300 sunny days per year. Rainfall is scarce and when it does rain, it is usually in spring or autumn, which is essential for the local vineyards and almond trees.

Due to the lack of large cities and strong lighting, it is truly dark at night. Silence here goes hand in hand with an impressive starry sky above the black silhouettes of the mountains.

People live simply and place little value on outward appearance. Many families have lived here for decades, creating a deeply rooted social network. Although people may seem reserved at first, the welcome is warm once the ice is broken. A greeting in the street (¡Buenos días!) is standard.
